My 1st Project!!!

I decided I wanted to make a stocking for Millie since I left ours back in Utah. Christmas wouldn't be the same without them! I will really miss sitting around my parents and going through my stocking with my sisters and mom. It's my favorite. Well, I have now met with Connie four times and I am so grateful for her. I have wanted to learn how to knit for years!

It's bigger in real life then it looks in the picture, it will be perfect for Millie. I got a little impatient finishing it and didn't do the best job sewing it together, but I'm finished. HOORAY!

Thanks to everyone who helped me figure out how to change colors!

That is absolutely wonderful Amanda. A sock for a first project is very inpressive. Connie looks like an expert teacher.

Wow, I am so impressed. I think that's the best way to learn to knit, go for something big. My first project was a baby sweater. I love it. Millie will cherish it.

Manda, that looks great!! remember when learning to crochet was hot at Merrill 312 and Christie was trying to make Josh that red blanket? It got all crookedy and she got frustrated and unraveled the whole thing and we had that huge 1 foot in diameter ball of yarn in our front room. It was there until we moved and she threw it out. Those were good days.
Anyway. It looks awesome. I am very proud of you, you'll have to teach me when you get back!!

Amanda did you know that I knit a sweater when I was about 10. We found it in the trunk in the laundry room a few weeks ago. I'll have to take a picture of it for you. Mom I think is having it blocked.

That looks awesome! nice job. I love the stocking. It will mean so much more to sweet Millie when she realizes that you made it. And how wonderful to say that you learned this talent in England. (England right?)
