Book Review

Okay, so I feel like I haven't read a good book since Harry Potter and it's time for me to move on. I have been reading "Love and Logic" in hopes that there is a step-by-step manual on how to raise a two year old, but no luck there. It's time for some entertainment reading and I can't wait to hear what ya'lls favs are! Please leave me a post so I can start a book list. And thank you Danalisa for lending me "The Pact," maybe it's not your very favorite, but it's the first book on my list and I can't wait to get started!

I don't read entertainment books, just informational. "Five Love Languages" is good and I bought "Christlike Parenting" on a recommendation, but haven't read it yet.

Well Harry Potter is hard to top but here are a few good reads: I love anything by Alexander McCall Smith (Scotland Street series or Ladies Detective Series). I am sure you have also heard of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, those are pretty good. Life of Pi is one of my favorite books, so is My Sister's Keeper, and now that you are in England maybe you should read some Jane Austen ;-). I just finished I am a Mother and that is also very good and pretty short. Alright I can think of a million more but will leave it at that for now!

I am just about to start A Thousand Splendid Suns- I'll let you know how it goes. It's been on NY Times Bestsellers list for 21 weeks and was named book of the year from 2007. Yea, can't wait to get started. Also Twilight series if you haven't read already-now those HAVE to be your #1 priority! Really.

Hey I have a couple of books I just read and LOVED!!!
Glass Castle - a woman recounts her story growing up in a disfunctional homeless, artist family. It sounds depressing but its actually pretty positive and entertaining.
Les Miserables - My favorite book of all time. Life changing.
Tale of Two Cities - When in England, you must read Dickens! This is my favorite of his.
Ohh! And there is one that I KNOW you would love, it's called: "Poisenwood Bible" and it is AWESOME. We read it in my book club and I couldn't put it down.
Anyway I have also heard that Twilight is great, I am number 98 in line at the library, so hopefully around Christmas I will actually get to read it. I would just go out and buy it but after our last move Ben and I have decided to downsize our book collection until we have a more permanent home...
A Thousand Splendid Suns is great, but I still liked Kite Runner better, even though it was more painful to read.
Anyway, keep me updated on what your reading, I'm always looking for new stuff!
