My Treasures

We knew we didn't have much time left at home together as a family so during a break from the hospital we called up Kate Moss from Peekaboo Photography and she was extremely generous to squeeze us in on a Saturday morning.   I wasn't expecting to get a family picture done, but at the end she asked if we wanted a shot or two. Had I known I would have put some makeup on and Brady probably would have shaved, but I still think we are pretty dang cute.  My kids on the other hand are stunning.

Thank you Peekaboo

Hey Amanda,

It was really nice to meet your sweet family last night. I found your blog last night and have been reading through some posts. It really breaks my heart to see what you are going through. I wanted to ask more questions, but I thought that perhaps you get tired of people asking all the time and just wanted a "normal" family night without cancer talk. I am really touched by Millie's story and I can see how strong she is and how strong that all of you are. She looks absolutely beautiful in these photos. They seem to have captured that strong and playful spirit of hers. I can't remember if you told me last night, but I wasn't sure if you had found a donor. I read about the problems that you were having finding a good match. I will gladly be tested if you haven't found one or if it's good to have a match for the future. I'm just not sure how to do that. I just want to be able to help in any way that I can:) we will be praying for Millie and all of you. Here is my email and if you can let me know how to get on the bone marrow registry, I will do it this week!

I just came across your blog. You do not know me. I think you may be related to Shiela Favero? She is an old friend. My daughter had a transplant 2 years ago, she is doing great. She to had AML and relapsed, she is now 12. If you would like to ask me any questions feel free to email me @ vickiejohnson13@hotmail.com. I would be happy to answer anything. We ended up having a cord blood transplant and it was not 100% match. Good luck to you, I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
