Though many people I have been around are doing some serious grieving. I don't know why. Shouldn't this be a mostly happy thing? He has been reunited with his spouse, is back with his Father in heaven and has the weight of the world off his shoulders and...he was 97 1/2 years old-it's not like this was unexpected! He lived a very near-to-perfect life I'm sure, better than I ever will and a very full life too. If we all really believe what we say we do and the knowledge we have about this life and after, then this is just part of a perfect plan being carried out.
You are right, he WILL be missed greatly, but shouldn't be grieved. I'm sure he couldn't be happier right now!
Sorry for the rant. I went to an Institute class on Monday and it was one big gloom and doom session and it really shocked and bothered me. Thanks for making a simple and true post and not reacting the way those in my class did.

did they broadcast his passing away on your news? i'm in vegas seriously not that far from s.l. and all they said was the l.d.s. prophet had passed. i was a little bugged.
This has nothing to do with your post but... Brady I met your dad yesterday up here at Promontory. I was really funny to run into him and figure out that it was your dad, small world I guess.
